The Premier was Breitling's first chronograph built for civilian life rather than the cockpit — a line that brings technical substance into classical proportions.
The evolution of the Premier
In 1943 Willy Breitling introduced the Premier as an elegant chronograph, at a time when the brand supplied mainly cockpit instruments.
The models of the 1940s and 1950s show slender cases, thin lugs and understated dials with tachymeter or telemeter scales.
During the 1970s the name disappeared from the range and survived for decades only within the vintage market.
In 2018 the Premier returned as its own collection, joined from 2019 by the in-house calibre B01 and special models with historical ties.
